My husband still teases me about the first Sephora sale he witnessed. Early in our relationship he noticed me setting an alarm for 3 a.m. to buy makeup, lol. He thought I had lost it.
But if you have ever opened the app at 7 a.m. on sale day and watched the one product you actually needed sit there as “sold out,” you understand the alarm. I made that mistake one too many times before I learned how the Sephora Savings Event really works: who gets in first, what sells out, and why the date on the flyer is only half the story.
So if you are here wondering when the next Sephora sale is, the short answer is: it is almost here. The fall 2026 Sephora Savings Event starts Friday, October 30 and runs through Monday, November 9. Below I break down the exact dates by Beauty Insider tier, how the discounts work, the rest of Sephora’s sale calendar, what today’s beauty editors recommend, and the seven things I am putting in my own basket. Let’s dive in!
All product recommendations are independently selected based on my personal experience, testing, and honest opinions. If I include affiliate links, I may earn a small commission if you make a purchase through those links, at no additional cost to you. These commissions help support my blog, but they never influence which products I recommend or the opinions I share.
Quick Answer: When Is the Next Sephora Sale?
The next Sephora sale is the fall 2026 Sephora Savings Event, Friday, October 30 through Monday, November 9, 2026, online and in stores. Sephora’s own Savings Event page lists the start date and the promo code, and the tier schedule comes from Sephora’s announcement graphic.
- Rouge: 20% off, October 30 to November 9 (early access).
- VIB: 15% off, November 3 to November 9.
- Insider: 10% off, November 3 to November 9.
- Everyone: 30% off Sephora Collection, October 30 to November 9.
- Code: ALLONSALE at checkout online. In stores, the discount is applied with your Beauty Insider account.
- Who can shop: Beauty Insider members. Joining is free, so you can sign up today and still get the 10% Insider discount.
If you are reading this after November 9, the next one after that is the spring Savings Event in April 2027. The spring 2026 event ran April 10 to 20, and the spring 2025 event ran April 4 to 14, so plan on the first half of April. I update this page before each event, so the dates above are always the current ones.
Sephora Savings Event Dates and Discounts by Tier
Here is the whole fall 2026 event in one chart. The spend amounts are what Sephora’s Beauty Insider FAQ says you need to spend in a calendar year to reach each tier.
| Tier | Discount | Shop Dates (Fall 2026) | How to Qualify | Sephora Collection |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rouge | 20% off | Fri, Oct 30 to Mon, Nov 9 | Spend $1,000 in a calendar year | 30% off, Oct 30 to Nov 9 |
| VIB | 15% off | Tue, Nov 3 to Mon, Nov 9 | Spend $350 in a calendar year | 30% off, Oct 30 to Nov 9 |
| Insider | 10% off | Tue, Nov 3 to Mon, Nov 9 | Free to join, no minimum | 30% off, Oct 30 to Nov 9 |
Two things trip people up every single time. First, the Sephora Collection discount is separate: everyone gets 30% off Sephora’s house brand from day one, but your tier percentage does not stack on top of it. Second, Rouge gets four extra days. That head start is the real perk, because the limited sets and the cult favorites sell out before VIB and Insider access even opens.
How Does the Sephora Savings Event Work?
The Savings Event is Sephora’s biggest sale of the year, and it happens twice: once in April and once in late October or early November. Old-timers like me still call it the VIB sale, but RetailMeNot’s beauty editor Ashley Keegan points out it was rebranded to make clear that every Beauty Insider tier gets a discount now, not just VIB and Rouge.
Here is how it works in practice:
- It is a percentage off almost everything. Unlike Sephora’s daily deals, where ten products are half off for 24 hours, the Savings Event takes your tier percentage off nearly the whole store, including brands that never go on sale otherwise. That is why fragrance, Dyson, and prestige skincare are the smart buys here.
- You need the code online. Sephora’s Savings Event page lists ALLONSALE for this event. Enter it at checkout and the discount matches whatever tier your account is in. In store, give the email on your Beauty Insider account at the register.
- Access opens by tier. Rouge shops first. VIB and Insider open four days later. Your tier is whatever your account shows on the day the event starts.
- There are purchase limits on the hot tech. In the spring 2026 event, NBC Select reported a limit of two Dyson products, three Shark Beauty products, and three each from The Ordinary and Nutrafol per transaction. The preliminary fall terms published by Beauty Deals BFF list the same Dyson, Shark, and The Ordinary limits, and name Byredo, gift cards, and in-store services as excluded. Read the fine print on sale day, because the brand list can change.
- It does not stack with other offers. NBC Select notes the sale discount generally cannot be combined with other promotions. Points and Beauty Insider Cash are a different story, which I get into below.
- Sephora at Kohl’s usually joins in. In past years the event has run at Sephora at Kohl’s too, and Groupon’s deal editors suggest checking Kohl’s inventory when something sells out on Sephora.com, since the stock is separate.
Sephora Sale Calendar: Every Sale Through Spring 2027
Sephora runs more sales than most people realize, but only two of them discount the whole store. Here is the calendar from now through next spring, with the 2026 dates where they have happened and the typical window where they have not. The past dates come from RetailMeNot’s 2026 sales calendar and NBC Select’s event coverage.
| Sale | When | What to Expect |
|---|---|---|
| Fall Savings Event | Oct 30 to Nov 9, 2026 (Rouge from Oct 30, VIB and Insider from Nov 3) | 20% / 15% / 10% off by tier, 30% off Sephora Collection, code ALLONSALE. The big one. |
| Black Friday and Cyber Week | Nov 27 (Black Friday) and Nov 30 (Cyber Monday), 2026, with deals starting the week before | Up to 50% off select products and holiday sets, not a sitewide percentage. Good for gifts, not for restocking. |
| Gifts for All and end-of-year sale | Mid to late December | Holiday value sets and minis; sometimes a member promo code. |
| After-Christmas sale | Dec 26 to early January | Extra percentage off holiday sets and clearance. Best time to buy next year’s gifts. |
| Skincare Sale (daily 50% off) | Early to mid January (Jan 2 to 17 in 2026) | A different skincare brand at 50% off every day for 24 hours. |
| 50% Off One-Day Deals, spring | March (Mar 6 to 26 in 2026) | About ten products half off each day, two per customer. Runs against Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty. |
| Spring Savings Event | First half of April (Apr 10 to 20 in 2026, Apr 4 to 14 in 2025) | Same tier structure as fall, with a new code each time (SPRINGSALE in 2026). |
| Hair Faves sale | Late April to early May (Apr 23 to May 4 in 2026) | Daily hair deals up to 50% off, including Dyson and Shark discounts. |
| Major Summer Deals | Mid to late June (Jun 11 to 23 in 2026) | Deep discounts on summer favorites for about two weeks. |
| 50% Off One-Day Deals, fall | Late August to mid September (Aug 28 to Sep 18 in 2026) | Daily half-off drops, same format as March. |
My take: if you only shop Sephora twice a year, make it the two Savings Events. ShopBack’s deal team crunched Sephora’s pricing and concluded that November is usually the cheapest month to buy at Sephora, with April in second place, and that matches my experience exactly. Black Friday is for gift sets. The Savings Event is for the things you actually use.
Why I Shop the Sephora Sale as a Rouge Member
I am a Rouge member, and I will be honest about how I got there: I place my mom’s Sephora orders along with my own. We have done it that way for years. If we each had our own account, neither of us would ever hit the $1,000 Rouge threshold, but together we clear it every year without buying anything we would not have bought anyway.
People assume Rouge is about the extra 5%. It is not. The discount is nice, but the early access is the part that matters. Rouge members shop four days before everyone else, which means the items you want are far less likely to be sold out by the time you check out. For a sale where the best stuff disappears in hours, those four days are worth more than the percentage.
The other Rouge perk I actually use is the Rouge Reward. The Points Guy’s Stephanie Stevens explains it well: Rouge members can trade 2,500 points for $100 off, which works out to 4 cents a point, double what you get cashing out 500 points for $10. She times her bigger purchases to the Savings Event for exactly that reason, and so do I. In her April example, a $223 basket came out to $178 after the Rouge discount, before any points at all.
One more thing worth knowing: in the spring 2026 event, NBC Select reported that Rouge members could bring one friend to shop their early access window with a one-time 20% discount. Sephora has not said whether that comes back this fall, but if you have a Rouge friend, it is worth asking.
My Tips for Shopping the Sephora Sale Without Missing Out
These are the rules I follow now, after years of learning the hard way, plus the advice that lines up with what the beauty editors covering this sale are saying.
- Build your Loves list this week. Open the Sephora app and heart everything you are considering now. On sale day you add to basket from the list instead of browsing, and you can see at a glance what is already sold out.
- Set the alarm, seriously. In my experience, the sale has gone live at midnight Pacific, which is 3 a.m. here on the East Coast. I have tried waiting until 7 a.m. The things I wanted were gone. If you are Rouge, that first morning of October 30 is your whole advantage, so use it.
- Sell-out items first, everything else second. Limited-edition sets, the newest launches, and anything “Only at Sephora” go first. Put those in the first order and do a second order later for the basics that will still be in stock on November 9.
- Restock before you splurge. SheKnows beauty writer Jacquelyn Greenfield frames it by tier: Insiders should restock what they use and try one inexpensive new thing, VIBs should restock and add one bigger splurge, and Rouge members should use the 20% on the luxury items and exclusives they have been eyeing. I think that is exactly right. The discount on a $86 eye serum you buy twice a year is real money. The discount on a $20 impulse buy is not.
- Use the sale for the never-on-sale brands. Fragrance, Dyson, and skincare like Clarins and Tatcha rarely get discounted outside this event. If a brand goes on sale all year, it can wait.
- Know the Sephora Collection rule. Everyone gets 30% off Sephora Collection from October 30, but your tier percentage does not apply on top. Do not expect 50% off the house brand as a Rouge.
- Mind the Dyson limit. Two Dyson products per transaction. If you are buying an Airwrap for yourself and one as a gift, that is your whole allowance in one order.
- Stack points, not promos. You cannot combine the sale with other discounts, but you still earn a point on every dollar, and The Points Guy’s Stephanie Stevens times her Rouge Reward redemptions to the event. Groupon’s editors also note that Sephora runs a points multiplier event in October, so check your account for any bonus-point offer right before the sale.
- Check Sephora at Kohl’s if something sells out. Separate inventory, same sale in past years.
- Keep the box. Sephora takes returns within 30 days, new or gently used. If a sale impulse buy turns out wrong, you are not stuck with it.
What I Am Buying at the Sephora Sale This Year
Here is my actual list for the fall 2026 event: three things I buy every sale, one I own and love, and three that have been sitting on my wish list waiting for exactly this week. Prices are the full Sephora prices as of mid October 2026, and the chart shows what each one comes to at every tier.
| Product | Full Price | Rouge (20%) | VIB (15%) | Insider (10%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Clarins Double Serum Eye | $86 | $68.80 | $73.10 | $77.40 |
| Sephora Collection Cleansing + Exfoliating Wipes | $7 | $4.90 (30% for everyone) | $4.90 | $4.90 |
| Dyson Airwrap ID Multi-Styler | $649 | $519.20 | $551.65 | $584.10 |
| Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Duo | $39 ($58 value) | $31.20 | $33.15 | $35.10 |
| Sephora Favorites Holiday Must-Haves Set | $59 ($179 value) | $47.20 | $50.15 | $53.10 |
| KAYALI Eden Sweet Peach | 35 (3.4 oz) | $150 | $120 | $127.50 | $135 |
| KAYALI Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 Body Spray | $45 | $36 | $38.25 | $40.50 |
Clarins Double Serum Eye Brightening and Depuffing Concentrate

This is the one that taught me to set the alarm. I order the Clarins eye concentrate for my mom every single Savings Event, and it sells out extremely fast every single time. It is the two-in-one eye treatment that targets dark circles and puffiness, with niacinamide and plant caffeine, and at $86 it is exactly the kind of product you should only ever buy at 20% off. It goes in my first order, at 3 a.m., no exceptions.
Best For: Dark circles and puffiness, and the one gift my mom asks for by name
Sephora Collection Cleansing + Exfoliating Wipes

I restock these every single purchase. Yes, I know makeup wipes are not the best way to take off your makeup, and I say so in my best makeup removers post. But as a busy mom, some nights the convenience is just too good to pass up, and these are my favorite wipes by a mile. They are made with micellar water, and the Coconut Milk version is the one I keep going back to.
They are also the best math in this whole post. Sephora Collection is 30% off for everyone from October 30, so a $7 pack is $4.90 whether you are Rouge or signed up yesterday. I buy a stack.
Best For: Busy nights, travel, and the gym bag
Dyson Airwrap ID Multi-Styler and Dryer

My Dyson Airwrap is, to date, the biggest and maybe the best thing I have ever bought during a Sephora sale. Mine is an older model they do not sell anymore, and it still gets regular use at home and every time we travel. I use it to dry, straighten, and curl my hair, and it has more than earned back what I paid.
If I were buying one today, this is the one: the Airwrap ID for straight to wavy hair, with the app-connected curling feature and six attachments. Dyson discounts are rare (outside this event, Sephora’s spring hair sale is about the only other time), so the Savings Event is one of the few chances to see $130 come off the price as a Rouge. Just remember the two-Dyson-per-transaction limit, and expect the popular colors to sell out during Rouge early access.
Best For: Drying, straightening, and curling with one tool, and the single best use of the 20%
Too Faced Better Than Sex Volumizing Mascara Duo

Two full-size tubes of Better Than Sex for $39, a $58 value. This limited-edition holiday duo is new this season and it is the kind of set that disappears fast, so it is going in the early order. Mascara should be replaced about every three months anyway, so a two-pack bought at 20% off is just smart. If you are more of a drugstore mascara person, I compare my favorites in my drugstore mascara roundup.
Best For: Dramatic volume, and stocking up on a mascara you already love
Sephora Favorites Holiday Must-Haves Makeup and Skincare Set

Sephora Favorites sets are the best value in the store, and this nine-piece holiday one is the best I have seen this year: $59 for a $179 value, with three full-size products in it. You get a full-size Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Encourage (the blush every liquid blush still gets compared to, see my best Rare Beauty products post), a full-size MERIT Flush Balm, and a full-size Fenty Gloss Bomb Stix, plus minis of the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream, Glow Recipe toner, Huda Beauty setting spray, ILIA mascara, Sol de Janeiro body butter, and Color Wow Dream Coat.
The three full-size pieces alone (Soft Pinch is $25, the MERIT balm is $30, the Fenty gloss stick is $27) add up to $82, more than the whole set at full price, and at the Rouge price of $47.20 it is almost silly. Value sets like this are the first thing to sell out, so do not wait on it. It also makes a very good gift if you can stand to give it away.
Best For: Trying a lot of top brands at once, and holiday gifting
KAYALI Eden Sweet Peach | 35 Eau de Parfum

I have been eyeing this one for months. Eden Sweet Peach is a sweet, fruity floral with peach, red apple, and frangipani, it is only sold at Sephora, and shoppers rate it highly for longevity. Perfume is the category I never buy at full price, because it so rarely goes on sale outside this event. At $150 for the big bottle, the Rouge price saves $30, and there is a 1.7 oz size and a mini if you want to try it first.
Best For: A sweet everyday scent, and the splurge I am finally making
KAYALI Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 Body Spray

The other KAYALI on my list is the Yum Pistachio Gelato body spray, a limited-edition gourmand with pistachio, whipped cream, hazelnut, and cotton candy. It is a big 4.2 oz bottle meant for layering and refreshing through the day, and at $36 for Rouge it is the fun, low-risk way to try the KAYALI yum scents before committing to a full perfume. Limited edition plus Only at Sephora means it will not be around forever, so it goes in the first order too.
Best For: Layering, post-shower refreshes, and anyone who loves a dessert scent
How to Reach VIB or Rouge Before the Next Sale
Your tier is based on what you spend on Sephora merchandise in a calendar year, according to Sephora’s Beauty Insider FAQ: $350 for VIB and $1,000 for Rouge. Purchases at Sephora.com, in Sephora stores, at Sephora at Kohl’s, on Kohls.com, and through Instacart, DoorDash, and Uber Eats all count, as long as the email on the order matches your account. Gift cards, taxes, and shipping do not count, and TikTok Shop orders do not count either.
A few practical notes from someone who has watched the year-to-date number closely:
- Check where you stand now. Your Beauty Insider page shows your year-to-date spend. If you are $60 short of VIB in mid October, one normal order before October 30 moves your discount from 10% to 15% for the whole event.
- The sale itself counts toward next year. Spending during the fall event is what keeps most people at their tier for the following year, since the qualifying window is the calendar year.
- Order together. If you are the one who buys for your mom, your sister, or your teenager anyway, putting those orders on one account is how a household gets to Rouge honestly.
- Do not chase it. Spending $400 you did not plan to spend to save 5% on the next order is not a deal. If you are an Insider, you still get 10% and the 30% Sephora Collection discount, and that is plenty.
Common Sephora Sale Mistakes
Waiting Until You Wake Up
I did this for years. The sale opens overnight on the East Coast, and the limited sets are picked over by breakfast. Either set the alarm or accept that the first-day items might be gone.
Forgetting the Code
The discount is not automatic online. You enter ALLONSALE at checkout, and if the total does not drop, stop and fix it before you place the order. It is a headache to sort out afterward.
Expecting Your Tier Discount on Sephora Collection
The house brand is 30% off for everyone, and that is the discount, full stop. Rouge does not get 30% plus 20%.
Buying Things Because They Are 20% Off
A product you would not buy at full price is not a bargain at 20% off, it is $0.80 on the dollar you did not need to spend. Restock first, splurge on the one thing you have genuinely wanted, and stop there. The editors I read agree, and so does my husband, lol.
Ignoring Value Sets and Minis
Sephora Favorites sets and holiday minis are already discounted versus buying the pieces separately, and the Savings Event takes another 10% to 20% off that. They are the best deal in the sale and the first thing to sell out.
Giving Up When Something Sells Out
Check Sephora at Kohl’s, check a different size, and check back on the last two days. Returns and cancellations put items back in stock, so a “sold out” product can reappear before the event ends.
Frequently Asked Questions About the Sephora Sale
What Day Is the Sephora Sale in 2026?
The fall 2026 Sephora Savings Event starts Friday, October 30, 2026 for Rouge members and Tuesday, November 3 for VIB and Insider members. It ends for everyone on Monday, November 9, 2026. The spring 2026 event already happened, April 10 to 20.
Is There Any Upcoming Sephora Sale?
Yes. The Savings Event runs October 30 to November 9, 2026, followed by Black Friday on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30. After that, the next sitewide sale is the spring Savings Event in April 2027.
What Times of Year Does Sephora Have Sales?
Sephora’s two sitewide sales are the Savings Events in April and in late October or early November. Around those, it runs daily 50% off deals in January, March, and late August to September, a hair sale in late April and early May, summer deals in June, Black Friday and Cyber Week in November, and an after-Christmas sale on holiday sets.
What Is the Biggest Sephora Sale of the Year?
The fall Savings Event. It is the only time the discount applies to nearly the whole store, including Dyson, fragrance, and prestige skincare, and ShopBack’s pricing data puts November as the cheapest month to shop at Sephora. Black Friday has deeper discounts on a few items but not on everything.
What Is the Sephora Sale Code?
The code for the fall 2026 Savings Event is ALLONSALE, per Sephora’s Savings Event page. It applies your tier’s discount online. Each event has a new code; spring 2026 was SPRINGSALE.
Does the Sephora Sale Work in Stores?
Yes. Sephora’s event page says online and in store. Give the email on your Beauty Insider account at checkout and the discount is applied without a code. In past years the event has also run at Sephora at Kohl’s.
Is Dyson Included in the Sephora Sale?
Yes, with a limit. Dyson has been included in recent Savings Events with a cap of two Dyson products per transaction. That makes the sale one of the few times a year to get an Airwrap for 10% to 20% off.
How Do I Get Early Access to the Sephora Sale?
Be Rouge. Rouge members, who spend $1,000 in a calendar year, shop four days before VIB and Insider. There is no other way to shop early, although in spring 2026 Rouge members could bring one friend into their early window with a one-time 20% discount.
Can I Join Beauty Insider Now and Still Get the Discount?
Yes. Beauty Insider is free, and new members get the 10% Insider discount from November 3 plus 30% off Sephora Collection from October 30. Sign up before the event so your account is ready.
Final Thoughts on the Next Sephora Sale
The next Sephora sale is the fall Savings Event, October 30 to November 9, 2026, and it is the one worth planning around. Rouge shops first at 20% off, VIB and Insider join on November 3 at 15% and 10%, everyone gets 30% off Sephora Collection, and the code is ALLONSALE.
My advice has not changed in years: build the list now, set the alarm, buy the sell-out items first, and spend the discount on the things that never go on sale. For me that means the Clarins eye serum for my mom, a stack of Sephora Collection wipes, and finally that bottle of KAYALI Eden Sweet Peach.
I will update this page before every Savings Event with the new dates and code, so bookmark it and check back in March. And tell me in the comments what is in your basket this year, because I always end up adding one more thing, lol.
