If you read my Sephora sale post, you know I am the person setting a 3 a.m. alarm so the one thing I actually want does not sell out before I wake up. Beauty advent calendars are the same story every November, lol. The good ones go fast, the Sephora one is usually gone online before Thanksgiving, and by the time most “best of” lists get updated, half the calendars on them are sold out.
So this guide does two things. It walks through the beauty advent calendars that are actually worth the money in 2026, from the $60 Sephora Collection calendar to Charlotte Tilbury’s $220 wonderland, and it tells you which ones were still in stock when I checked, because that matters more than any ranking right now.
Full disclosure: I love Christmas, I love this whole time of year, and beauty advent calendars are a little tradition of mine. In past years I have bought the Sephora, NYX and Kylie Cosmetics calendars, and one year a FabFitFun calendar that mixed beauty with fashion and home items. My favorite was a Sephora skincare calendar years ago that had face masks, foot masks and makeup removing wipes, and this year’s Sephora Collection calendar, which has face masks and remover wipes in it again (no foot mask this time, sadly), is already sitting at my house. I am so excited to go through it! I have not unboxed the rest of the calendars on this list myself, so where I am leaning on what the beauty editors who did open them found, I say so and link to them. Every price, value, door count, and stock status below was checked on the brand’s or Sephora’s own site on November 7, 2026, and I will keep the stock notes updated through December 1. Let’s dive in!

Quick Answer: Which Beauty Advent Calendar Should You Buy in 2026?
Short on time? Here is where I would start, with prices as of November 7, 2026.
- Best Sephora advent calendar you can still get: Sephora Favorites 25-Days of Beauty Must Haves, $105 for a $393 value with 25 brands like Charlotte Tilbury, Fenty Beauty, Kiehl’s and Olaplex. The $60 Sephora Collection calendar is already sold out online and available in stores only.
- Best skincare advent calendar: Laneige 12 Days of Wonder, $149 for a $235 value, five full-size products, and the Lip Sleeping Mask is in it.
- Best makeup advent calendar: Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Beauty Wonderland, $220 for a $400 value with four full-size icons, including a full-size Pillow Talk Medium lipstick. It sells out every single year.
- Best for a makeup lover who already has everything: Fenty Beauty 12 Dayz, $190 for a $284 value, five full-size products.
- Best under $100: e.l.f.’s Express Your e.l.f. 24-Day Advent Calendar, $95 for a $153 value with 18 full-size products, the most full-size makeup on this page. Laura Geller’s 12 Days of Geller Gorgeous ($99) is the mature-skin pick, and the Olive Young x Sephora calendar ($69, $171 value) is the K-beauty bargain.
- Best stocking-stuffer price: Target’s two $20 calendars, The Ultimate Beauty Advent Calendar (e.l.f., Supergoop and essence inside) and The Ultimate Skincare Advent Calendar (La Roche-Posay, PanOxyl, BYOMA).
- Best for someone new to makeup or a teen: the Sephora Collection Advent Calendar, $60 for a $190 value. It is the one I have waiting at home, and it is sold out online, so look in a store.
If you only remember one thing: buy before Thanksgiving. Allure’s commerce editor Sarah Han, who has written its advent calendar roundup for three years, says most calendars are live by mid-October and launch earlier every year, and some had already sold out by the time she published this year’s list on November 4.
Beauty Advent Calendar Comparison Chart
Here are all fourteen side by side. Prices and values are what Sephora, Target or the brand listed on November 7, 2026. Full-size counts come from the brand’s own contents list where it publishes one, otherwise from Allure’s unboxing.

The Two Sephora Advent Calendars for 2026
Sephora sells two of its own calendars this year, and they are very different products. One is the $60 Sephora Collection calendar, filled by Sephora’s in-house brand. The other is the $105 Sephora Favorites calendar, a sampler of 25 prestige brands. (The Premium Advent Calendar from past years is gone; Sephora’s page for it no longer exists.)
Sephora Collection Advent Calendar ($60, $190 Value)

Behind the 24 cracker-style doors are 13 full-size products, five travel sizes, and six accessories, all from Sephora Collection: the Love the Lift mascara, a 12-hour waterproof eye pencil, a mini lip pencil, Gloss Balm, a Blush & Go cream blush and a Gleam & Go highlighter, a Colorful Blush, a brightening eye cream, the Gentle Jelly Cleanser, makeup remover wipes, five masks and patches, a bath bomb, blotting papers, a complexion sponge, a sharpener, a sequin scrunchie, a sequin hair clip, and a pompom. Sephora lists the whole set on the product page.
Stock check, November 7: it is sold out online and marked “available in store only” on sephora.com. That tracks with past years. When Cosmopolitan’s shopping editor Hannah Oh unboxed Sephora’s calendars in 2024, the pricier Premium calendar was gone from Sephora’s site in the first week of November but still on Kohl’s shelves, so Kohl’s (which carries Sephora) and Amazon are where I would look now.
Who it is for: Hannah Oh found the 2024 Collection calendar a little random, with nail stickers, an exfoliating glove and a lot of sheet masks, and called it a fun gift for a younger sibling or someone just getting into makeup rather than for a seasoned collector. Byrdie’s 2026 roundup says the same thing in nicer words: it particularly loves this one for teens. I agree that it is the friendliest calendar for a beginner, and I still bought one for myself, because 13 full-size products for $60 is hard to argue with. It is not my first Sephora calendar, either, and it will not be the last. Mine is sitting at home unopened and I am genuinely excited to start opening doors on December 1, lol. If anything in it surprises me, good or bad, I will add it here.
Sephora Favorites 25-Days of Beauty Must Haves ($105, $393 Value)

This is the one I would buy for someone who shops the Sephora sale every year, because it is 25 days of brands they already know. The online-exclusive version holds Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray, Fenty Beauty’s Invisimatte blotting powder, a Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream, Olaplex No. 7, Sol de Janeiro’s Cheirosa 59 mist, a tarte tubing mascara, Benefit Benetint, an Anastasia Brow Freeze, a Glow Recipe serum, Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask, a YSL Candy Glaze lip gloss stick, a Lancome Lip Idole balm, a Moroccanoil hair oil, and more. Everything is a mini or travel size, so think of it as the best possible sampler, not a box of full-size products.
Two versions, two lineups. Sephora sells an In Store Exclusive and an Online Exclusive, both $105 with a $393 value, and the contents are not identical, so check the product list of the one you are buying. Stock check, November 7: both versions were in stock on sephora.com, and the online version is also on Amazon.
Best Makeup Advent Calendars
These are the calendars for the person who wants color, not just skincare. All four have full-size makeup inside, which is the first thing CNN Underscored’s beauty editor Sophie Shaw looks for: a couple of full-size products, usually bestsellers, is what makes a calendar worth its price.
And if money is truly no object: Dior’s Le 30 Montaigne calendar is $800 for 24 miniatures (J’adore, Sauvage, Miss Dior, a Rouge Dior 999, Lip Glow and Prestige La Crème among them) in a box that doubles as a storage case, sold only on dior.com and in Dior boutiques. It was in stock on November 7. I am not putting a button on it, lol.
Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Hollywood Beauty Wonderland Advent Calendar ($220, $400 Value)

Charlotte Tilbury publishes the full contents, which I appreciate. The four full-size icons are the Matte Revolution lipstick in Pillow Talk Medium, the Lip Cheat Contour Duo in Medium, the Unreal Blush Healthy Glow Stick in Rosy Glow, and the Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk Original, plus two accessories, a Pillow Talk velvet makeup organizer and a Magic Sculpting gua sha. The travel sizes are Magic Cream, Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray, Exagger-Eyes mascara, Collagen Superfusion facial oil, Rock ‘N’ Kohl in Bedroom Black, Pillow Talk Lip Cheat, Unreal Lips in Strawberry Vanilla, and Big Lip Plumpgasm. Fifteen products in all.
Allure named it one of its two best makeup calendars of 2026 and Byrdie put it first on its list with a warning that it sells out every single year. Charlotte Tilbury’s own page says last year’s sold at a rate of one a minute for the first 24 hours. Stock check, November 7: in stock on charlottetilbury.com at $220.
Fenty Beauty 12 Dayz of Fenty Beauty + Fenty Skin ($190, $284 Value)

Fenty does not publish a spoiler list (the product page literally says no spoilers), so this is from Allure’s unboxing: five of the twelve products are full-size, the lineup leans into lips with a lip mask, lip oil, Gloss Bomb and a glossy lipstick, and it includes Fenty Skin’s Butta Drop whipped body cream and the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Wattabrat. If the person you are shopping for owns the Gloss Bomb in three shades, this is their calendar.
Stock check, November 7: in stock on fentybeauty.com, listed at $190 against a $284 value.
Benefit Cosmetics The Hotel Beneville 24-Day Advent Calendar ($168, $330 Value)

Benefit’s calendars are famous for the packaging, and this year’s is a pink hotel-shaped suitcase with 24 doors. Inside, per Allure’s and Byrdie’s unboxings, are the brand’s greatest hits in a mix of full, mini and fun sizes: the POREfessional primer, Hoola bronzer, Benetint, Badgal Bang and Roller Lash mascaras, and Gimme Brow+. Allure counts four full-size products out of 24, so this is a brand sampler more than a value play, and it is the one I would pick for anyone who lives in Benefit brow products.
Stock check, November 7: listed on Sephora’s advent calendar page at $168 with a $330 value.
Laura Geller 12 Days of Geller Gorgeous Advent Calendar ($99)

If you have read my Laura Geller review, you know this is the brand I reach for on my own dry, sensitive skin, so I was happy to see a calendar this year. It is 12 doors of baked makeup from the holiday collection, and Laura’s note on the product page says she filled it with the shades and formulas she keeps reaching for. The “what’s included” card shows the Party in a Palette Chalet Chic face palette, a Baked Natural Glow Highlighter in French Vanilla, the Italian Marble Lipstick in Rose Macaron, the Always There Lengthening Mascara, a Kajal eyeliner in Rose Gold Kohl, the Treat-n-Go Tinted Lip Oil, a Line Smoother lip liner, a travel-size Baked Blush-n-Brighten in Pink Buttercream, an angled blush brush and an all-over eyeshadow brush, a lipstick case, and slanted tweezers. Nearly everything is full-size, which is rare at this price.
Stock check, November 7: in stock on laurageller.com at a $99 sale price against a $256 regular price, tagged limited supply. Laura Geller runs sitewide holiday codes most of November (its current sale is in my foundation review), so check whether a code applies at checkout before you pay full price.
Best Skincare Advent Calendars
Skincare calendars are the safer gift, because there is no shade matching involved. These four cover K-beauty, Japanese-inspired luxury, and French body care, and three of them are under $150.
Laneige 12 Days of Wonder Korean Skincare & Lip Favorites ($149, $235 Value)

This is the one I would buy for myself this year. The Lip Sleeping Mask is already one of my Amazon beauty picks, and the calendar is built around it. Laneige’s own “what’s inside” card shows the Lip Sleeping Mask in Sweet Candy, the Bouncy & Firm Sleeping Mask in its full 60 ml size, the Water Sleeping Mask, the Bouncy & Firm Serum and Eye Sleeping Mask, the Lip Glowy Balm in Berry, the Glaze Craze tinted lip serum in Strawberry Sprinkles, a JuicePop lip tint, the Water Bank gel cleanser and the Water Bank Blue HA cream. Allure counts five full-size products out of twelve, named it the best K-beauty calendar of the year, and expects it to sell out quickly.
Stock check, November 7: in stock on us.laneige.com and on Sephora at $149. Laneige’s own site runs its Black Friday deals from November 20 through December 1, so if you are reading this after the 20th, check both prices.
Tatcha 12 Ways To Love Your Skin ($199, $290 Value)

Tatcha’s first advent-style set is twelve minis in a striped purple box: the Matcha Foam Cleanse and the Camellia Cleansing Oil, the Rice Polish Classic, the Silk Serum and the Longevity Serum, the Dewy Skin Cream, the Water Cream, the Longevity Memory Cream and Indigo Overnight Repair, the Brightening Eye Cream, the Melting Lip Balm, and a packet of Aburatorigami blotting papers, with an optional $5 furoshiki cloth wrap. If you have been curious about Tatcha but not curious enough to spend $70 on one cream, this is the way in, and it is the only way to try the Water Cream and the Dewy Skin Cream side by side without buying both.
Two things to know: everything inside is a mini, and Tatcha’s own early reviewers say the sizes are small for the price, so this is a sampler for someone who does not already own the brand, not a restock for someone who does. Stock check, November 7: in stock on tatcha.com at $199 ($290 value), and Byrdie lists it at Sephora and Ulta for the same price.
Glow Recipe 12 Days of Glow Advent Calendar ($110, $202 Value)

Glow Recipe is the fruit-forward K-beauty brand behind the Watermelon Glow line, and its 12-day calendar is the one I would hand a college student or anyone in their twenties who films their skincare routine, lol. Sephora lists it at $110 for a $202 value but does not publish a full-size count on the listing, so treat it as a sampler.
Stock check, November 7: listed on Sephora’s advent calendar page.
L’Occitane 12 Days of Provençal Beauty Advent Calendar ($110, $186 Value)

If the person on your list is a hand cream person, this is the calendar. Byrdie’s unboxing lists the Shea Butter Hand Cream, a Shea Verbena bar soap, and the Almond Shower Oil, and CNN Underscored’s editor says she spread last year’s mini hand creams across her nightstand, purse and car. It is also one of the few calendars on this list that works for anyone, men included.
Stock check, November 7: listed on Sephora’s advent calendar page at $110 for a $186 value.
Best Beauty Advent Calendars Under $100
Five calendars on this page come in under $100: the Sephora Collection calendar at $60 (sold out online, see above), Laura Geller’s at $99 (above), and these three, which you can still order online.
2026 Olive Young x Sephora Advent Calendar ($69, $171 Value)

Olive Young is the Korean beauty store that every K-beauty video seems to be filmed in, and its collection landed at Sephora this year with its own advent calendar. Sephora lists it at $69 for a $171 value, one of the best value ratios on this page. Sephora does not publish a door count or a full-size count on the listing, so I would expect minis.
Stock check, November 7: listed on Sephora’s advent calendar page.
e.l.f. Express Your e.l.f. 24-Day Advent Calendar ($95, $153 Value)

e.l.f. publishes the full lineup, and it has the most full-size makeup on this page: 18 of the 24 doors are full-size, including the Power Grip Matte Primer, the Camo Liquid Blush in Suave Mauve, a Glow Reviver Lip Oil, the Perfect 10 eyeshadow palette in Keep It Ethereal, the Incredi-Curl mascara, Holy Hydration skincare, and two calendar-only exclusives, a Glow Reviver Melting Lip Balm in Apple Crisp and a Smoky Kohl eyeliner in Pretty Penny, plus brushes, a sponge and a lash curler. Allure’s Sarah Han singled out the Holy Hydration Thirst Burst serum drops as the star. If you want a makeup calendar for a teenager, this beats the sold-out Sephora one.
Stock check, November 7: in stock on elfcosmetics.com at $95. e.l.f. is not one of my affiliate partners, so that is a plain link.
Target’s $20 Advent Calendars: The Ultimate Beauty and The Ultimate Skincare (12 Days Each)

Target’s own-brand calendars are the stocking-stuffer answer, and this year’s lineups are better than $20 suggests. The Ultimate Beauty Advent Calendar holds e.l.f.’s Power Grip primer, Camo Liquid Blush and Halo Glow wand, a Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen, essence’s Lash Princess mascara and a SACHEU peel-off lip liner, and the box sticker claims a value over $97. The Ultimate Skincare Advent Calendar holds a La Roche-Posay Mela B3 serum, a TONYMOLY mochi toner, PanOxyl acne wash, a BYOMA rich cream, Good Molecules pimple patches and a cocokind lip balm. Twelve doors each, so they are also the right size for a kid or a teen who would be overwhelmed by 24.
Stock check, November 7: both in stock on target.com at $20, shipping by November 12.
Is a Beauty Advent Calendar Worth It?
Usually, yes, with two conditions: the stated value has to be real, and you have to be the kind of person who will use minis. Here is how I think about it, and what the editors who unbox these for a living say.
- Do the per-door math. The Sephora Collection calendar is $2.50 a door. Sephora Favorites is $4.20. Laneige is about $12.40 and Charlotte Tilbury about $14.70 per product. A calendar can be worth it at any of those numbers, but the higher it goes, the more it has to be full-size products from a brand you already love.
- Count the full sizes, not the doors. Sophie Shaw at CNN Underscored looks for at least a couple of full-size products, usually bestsellers, before she calls a calendar worth it. By that test e.l.f. (18), the Sephora Collection (13), Laneige (5), Fenty (5) and Charlotte Tilbury (4 plus two accessories) pass easily. Tatcha and Sephora Favorites are all minis and should be judged as samplers.
- Brand calendar or variety calendar? Shaw’s rule is that a brand-specific calendar is the safer choice when you already have a favorite, and a multi-brand one is better for someone who wants to try a lot of things at once. That is the real difference between the two Sephora calendars.
- Allure’s verdict: Sarah Han says they are worth it in most cases, and her favorite way to justify a pricier one is to split it, keeping some doors and crossing a few people off your gift list with the rest.
- Watch for duplicates. If you own a brand’s bestsellers, its calendar will hand you minis of them. That is a feature for a new fan and a waste for a superfan.
How to Choose a Beauty Advent Calendar
- Buy in October or the first half of November. Allure’s Sarah Han says most calendars are live by mid-October and that launches creep earlier every year; Anthropologie’s launched on August 13 and sold out. Sephora’s Collection calendar was gone online by November 7 this year.
- Check the contents list first. Charlotte Tilbury, Sephora, Laneige, Laura Geller, e.l.f. and Target publish theirs. Fenty does not. If the surprise matters to you, that is fine, but if you are gifting it, you want to know there is nothing in there the person cannot use.
- Mind the shades. Makeup calendars come in one set of shades. Charlotte Tilbury’s lip products are all Pillow Talk Medium, for example. Skincare calendars sidestep this, which is why I lean skincare for anyone whose coloring I am not sure about.
- Join the waitlist if it sells out. Sarah Han’s advice is to sign up for restock alerts wherever the brand offers them, because some brands restock later in the season if there is enough demand.
- Look at the second retailer. Sephora’s calendars also sell at Kohl’s and on Amazon, and in past years Kohl’s had stock weeks after sephora.com sold out.
Common Beauty Advent Calendar Mistakes
Waiting Until Black Friday
Black Friday is for gift sets, not advent calendars. By the last week of November the popular calendars are gone or on resale sites at a markup, and a calendar that starts December 1 needs to be in your hands by then anyway.
Paying Resale Prices
A sold-out Sephora Collection calendar on a resale site for $120 is not a $190 value anymore. Check Kohl’s, Amazon and the brand’s own site first, and if it is really gone, buy a different calendar instead of paying double.
Gifting a Shade-Specific Calendar to Someone You Do Not Know Well
A makeup calendar with one lipstick shade and one blush shade is a gift for someone whose makeup bag you have seen. For everyone else, pick a skincare calendar or the Sephora Favorites sampler.
Not Reading the Contents When the Brand Publishes Them
Sephora, Charlotte Tilbury and Laneige all tell you exactly what is inside. If the person already owns three of the full-size products, you are paying for duplicates, and the calendar from a brand they have not tried will land better.
Frequently Asked Questions About Beauty Advent Calendars
When Does the Sephora Advent Calendar Come Out?
Sephora’s calendars go on sale in early fall. The 2026 Sephora Favorites calendar was listed by early September, and the Sephora Collection calendar was already sold out online by November 7. If you want the $60 one, shop in September or October.
Is the Sephora Advent Calendar Worth It?
The Sephora Collection calendar is worth it at $60 for 13 full-size products and a $190 value, as long as you want beginner-friendly Sephora Collection makeup and skincare. I have bought Sephora’s calendar before and I bought one again this year. The Sephora Favorites calendar is worth it at $105 if you want to sample 25 prestige brands; nothing inside it is full-size.
What Is in the Sephora Advent Calendar 2026?
The Sephora Collection calendar holds 24 items: 13 full-size products including the Love the Lift mascara, a waterproof eye pencil, a cream blush and highlighter, a brightening eye cream and a jelly cleanser, plus five travel sizes and six accessories. The Sephora Favorites calendar holds 25 minis from brands like Charlotte Tilbury, Fenty Beauty, Kiehl’s, Olaplex, Sol de Janeiro, YSL and tarte, and its in-store and online versions have different lineups.
Is the Sephora Advent Calendar Sold Out?
As of November 7, 2026, the $60 Sephora Collection Advent Calendar was sold out online and marked in-store only, while both Sephora Favorites calendars were in stock. Check Kohl’s and Amazon for the Collection calendar; in past years Kohl’s had it weeks after Sephora’s site sold out.
Which Is the Best Beauty Advent Calendar for Women?
For most women I would pick the Laneige 12 Days of Wonder ($149) because it is skincare and lip care with no shade risk and five full-size products. For a makeup lover, Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Beauty Wonderland ($220). For a bargain, e.l.f.’s 24-day calendar ($95, 18 full-size products) or the Olive Young x Sephora calendar ($69).
What Is the Best Makeup Advent Calendar?
Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Beauty Wonderland is the best makeup advent calendar of 2026 for its four full-size icons, with Fenty Beauty’s 12 Dayz close behind for five full-size products at $190. Allure named both as its best makeup calendars of the year.
Can You Buy an Advent Calendar After December 1?
Yes, if any are left, and some retailers discount them in the second week of December. The catch is that you will be opening several doors at once to catch up, which is fine for a gift to yourself and less fun for a gift to someone else.
What Is an Advent Calendar, Anyway?
It started as a Christmas countdown with a small door for each day from December 1 to 24. Beauty brands kept the doors and swapped the chocolate for minis and full-size products, and most now sell 12-day versions too.
Final Thoughts on the Best Beauty Advent Calendars
If I were buying one calendar this year it would be the Laneige 12 Days of Wonder, and if I were buying one for my mom it would be the Sephora Favorites 25-Days of Beauty Must Haves, because it is the Sephora sale in a box. Charlotte Tilbury is the splurge for a makeup lover, e.l.f. is the bargain with the most full-size makeup, Target’s $20 calendars are the stocking stuffers, and the Sephora Collection calendar is the one I already have, so if you see one in a store, grab it.
Whichever you choose, buy it this week, not on Black Friday. This is my favorite time of year, and a calendar is the easiest way to stretch it out through all of December. And if 24 doors feels like too much of a commitment, a beauty subscription box spreads the same surprise across the whole year. For more of my favorite products, browse my makeup reviews and guides!
