In 1997, a makeup artist from New York named Laura Geller started Laura Geller Beauty. They revolutionized the makeup industry with their baked makeup, which combines natural ingredients and high-pigment minerals. Fast forward 25 years later, the brand is now considered one of the biggest and fastest-growing cosmetic brands in the US. Today, Laura Geller Beauty takes pride in creating exceptional makeup that works well for all skin types, particularly for those with mature skin.
Truth be told, I had never been given the opportunity to experience anything from Laura Geller Beauty until late 2022! Considering the brand’s reputation and longevity, it genuinely surprises me that none of their products have ever found their way into my makeup subscription boxes, such as Ipsy’s Glam Bag or Boxycharm (they should definitely include them!). After repeatedly encountering glowing reviews for their face primers, baked products, and much more, I made a commitment to delve into the brand and try everything they had to offer. After many fantastic months, I have managed to narrow down my top 5 picks that have not only earned a spot in my collection but also deserve your serious consideration!

Baked Blush-n-Bronze Marbleized 2-in-1
When I first tried this Laura Geller Beauty product, it immediately reminded me of one of my favorite blushes from Hourglass! This powder blush provides a wonderfully natural and soft flush of color to the cheeks. It’s currently available in six different shades; my personal favorite being Berry Bronze, which gives off a warm coral hue.
Upon trying it, I discovered that this blush boasts impressive longevity and is exceptionally blendable when used with my go-to angled blush brush from Sigma for my everyday makeup routine. The Baked Blush-N-Bronze Marbleized 2-In-1 offers a high color payoff and is remarkably buildable. I must admit, the velvety texture of this blush won me over completely, and I’m definitely planning on buying more shades to add to my daily rotation!
Spackle Skin Perfecting Primer: Hydrate
Laura Geller Beauty offers a wide range of Spackle Primers. Personally, I found that the one infused with an extra burst of hydration was best suited for my skin type and these record-breaking summer days! The Spackle Skin Perfecting Primer: Hydrate is touted as ideal for mature skin, dry skin, and refining skin texture. While this primer claims to function as a two-in-one moisturizer and primer, I found it very beneficial in applying a separate moisturizer underneath for optimal results.
I was truly impressed by how effectively this primer created a superb base for my foundation, all while delivering hydration through moisturizing ingredients like jojoba seed oil. I really love how it harmonizes my skin tone and gives that illuminating complexion!
The Best of the Best Baked Face Palette
This product marked the beginning of my journey with Laura Geller Beauty! It truly is an excellent introduction to the brand, offering their renowned blush, bronzer, highlighter, and eyeshadow all in a single palette. When I made my purchase directly from Laura Geller Beauty’s website, I was sent a code via email for a full-sized baked product to be included in my next order!
This palette features three eyeshadows, one blush, one bronzer, and two highlighters. Personally, I found every component of this palette to be exceptional, and it was a fantastic travel companion to my trips to Mexico and Japan since it has everything you need in one place! I loved how natural and effortless everything looked on the skin!
Baked Balance-n-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation
Never before had I considered trying a baked foundation; in fact, I wasn’t even aware of the existence of baked foundations until I stumbled upon this product on Instagram! I was immediately intrigued! This foundation offers light to medium coverage, which is in line with the natural aesthetic that Laura Geller Beauty incorporates.
The Baked Balance-N-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation gives off a natural finish and feels remarkably weightless on the skin—I even forgot I was wearing it. I appreciated how it avoids any dryness or cakey appearance, and it truly presents a flawless look, even on mature skin where it doesn’t settle into fine lines. I was genuinely impressed by this product, as I had not anticipated it to perform as perfectly as it did. I usually lean towards liquid foundations and tend to overlook powders and creams, but this particular product changed my mind!
Baked Natural Glow Highlighter
This highlighter doesn’t embody the current trend of bold, intense radiance. Instead, it offers a subtle and natural glow, making it ideal for professional settings. It exudes a stunning effect on mature skin, revitalizing dullness.
For those seeking a more pronounced glow, this product can be layered. My preferred application was to illuminate the inner corners of my eyes. Additionally, it works beautifully on the cupid’s bow, and cheekbones, and can even be applied all over the face for a luminous, radiant finish!
Overall, I discovered a brand new appreciation for Laura Geller Beauty! If you haven’t had the opportunity to explore their range of products, I wholeheartedly suggest delving into them. I was trying to decide on which shade of Baked Balance and Brighten foundation would suit me best On the Laura Geller online website there are very clear examples with pictures of different skin tones from which to choose. I still wasn’t sure between the fair and light. They specifically also offer extra help for anyone who needs more help with choosing a shade… I did an e-chat with customer service. This service was available instantly late one night. I took a selfie and someone with Laura Geller cosmetics recommended the shade for me. It worked out perfectly. Also, they offer free returns if not satisfied.
LYNN and JAMIE the website offers all kinds of examples of what color goes with what skin colors. You can also take a selfie and either chat with a consultant or send your selfie in with your questions and a consultant will get back to you, I’ve always gotten a response in 24-48 hrs. Make sure you take your selfie in good light. I hope this helps.
