MEET ASHLEY
Hi everyone! I’m Ashley, the creator behind Biedazzle Beauty, and I’m so happy to have you here!
So I am from Indiana and that’s where my love for writing, creativity, and all things beauty first began. What started with experimenting with makeup in college has grown into a passion for discovering products that are actually worth recommending and sharing honest reviews with others.
When I’m not testing the latest beauty finds or writing blog posts, you’ll probably find me planning my next trip to a Disney theme park with my husband and son, playing video games, or catching up on the latest reality TV drama (I never say no to a good binge-watch!).
I believe beauty should be fun, approachable, and something that helps you feel like the best version of yourself!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU LOVED AND USED BEAUTY PRODUCTS?
My love for beauty products really took off in college, and it all started with my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. I remember being so excited to finally have it, and I used it for just about every look—from everyday classes to nights out with friends. I loved watching YouTube tutorials, trying new techniques, and testing out different makeup and skincare products whenever I could.
Getting ready became one of my favorite parts of the day because it gave me a chance to be creative, unwind, and express my personality. What started as a fun hobby quickly turned into a genuine passion, and I’ve loved discovering new beauty favorites ever since.
WHY DID YOU START A BEAUTY BLOG?
Starting Biedazzle Beauty felt like the perfect way to combine two things I’ve always loved: beauty and writing. I wanted a place where I could combine my love of writing with my passion for beauty and share honest experiences with products I’ve actually tried.
Ever since I was little, I’ve loved telling stories and sharing my thoughts. In fact, my kindergarten teacher told me I was going to be a writer one day, and that memory has always stuck with me. Years later, after falling in love with beauty in college, I realized I wanted a space where I could share my favorite products, honest reviews, tips, and little moments of inspiration with others.
My blog gives me the chance to be creative, connect with people who love beauty as much as I do, and hopefully help someone discover their next favorite product along the way. Looking back, it feels like writing and beauty were always meant to come together.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WHAT TO RECOMMEND?
When I recommend a product, it’s because it’s truly earned a spot on my list.
I love testing everything from makeup and skincare to haircare, body care, and beauty tools, and I always give products enough time to see how they actually perform. I pay attention to things like quality, wear time, ingredients, ease of use, and whether I’d genuinely reach for the product again.
If I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend, it won’t make it onto my blog. My goal is to share honest recommendations you can trust, whether you’re looking for a new everyday favorite or a product that’s worth the splurge.
